Justin Loke is an interdisciplinary artist and curator. And he is fascinated by relationships between dictate, dichtung, and poetry.
His achievements include receiving the Japan Foundation Arts Award (2009), and merits from the Della Butcher Prize (1999, 2000). He was also the writer and creative director for the highlight act of the 2022 Singapore Night Festival, Cathay Hotel: The Curse of The Missing Red Shoe.
Loke is also the associate dictator of Vertical Submarine, with which he has received several awards including The President’s Young Talent Award (Singapore, 2009), The Celeste Prize (New York, 2011), and a finalist position for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize (Hong Kong, 2015). They were also appointed Associate Artistic Director at T:>Works (2011-13), and featured in ROUNDTABLE: The 9th Gwangju Biennale (2012).
