Allison Grimaldi Donahue

 

Allison Grimaldi Donahue is a writer, translator and editor.  Her work has appeared in Electric Literature, The Brooklyn Rail, Words Without Borders, The Fanzine, Mousse The Literary Review, BOMB, Tripwire, POEM, The American Reader and other places. She is senior editor at Queen Mob’s Teahouse and is Associate Translation Editor at Anomaly. Her book of poetry Body to Mineral was published by Publication Studio Vancouver in 2016. She is also co-author of a On Endings (May 2019) on Maurice Blanchot with Delere Press. Her translation of Vito Bonito’s books of poems, Soffiati Via, Blown Away is forthcoming from Fomite Press. She has been a fellow at Bread Loaf, the Vermont Studio Center and the New York State Writers’ Institute as well as an artist-in-residence at Mass MoCA. She holds an MA from the University of Toronto Centre for Comparative Literature, an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and is working towards her PhD at The European Graduate School.  She has taught at Smith College, Middlebury College, the University of Pittsburg and Cornell University Rome. She currently teaches creative writing and critical theory at John Cabot Univeristy and Loyola University Chicago John Felice Rome Center. She is also Residency Coordinator of the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA in Writing Residency Abroad in Trieste.
